Dreamcoat has been selected by OAR to create a vocational program to teach painters. Dreamcoat has partnered with Catholic Charities to combat the Opioid crisis and work with marginalized people. Dreamcoat also works with Knights of Columbus to help those who are unable to afford regular contractor prices for work.

On 14 Dec, brother Dave Druitt was honored by the Springfield Chamber of Commerce at its annual dinner, with the Veteran Community Service Award. Dave was recognized for the help and assistance he provides to those released from jails and prisons who have no job, place to live and may be suffering from addictions which caused their original crimes. Dave founded a small painting company in 2012, that he uses to provide them temporary employment, locates housing and takes them to daily AA meetings. He is now working with Catholic Charities that recently started a program with the same goals.

We started out having Dreamcoat paint the interior of our house, and they did an excellent job at a really great price. Then we decided we wanted a screened-in deck and had them rebuild our deck, due to the county inspector’s requirements. They did a phenomenal job, so much so that many of our neighbors have complimented it and inquired about having them work at their houses, and gone on to hire them too. We now get Dreamcoat to do any work that needs doing around the house, and they always give us a great price and do outstanding work.

Although there were bumps in the road with expectations not clearly communicated, we were successful in receiving exactly what Dreamcoat promised as the end product; a freshly painted, renovated home.
